After much anticipation and speculation, the Vivo X200 series China launch date has finally been confirmed by the company. It is said that the X200 lineup will carry on from the soon-to-be-replaced X100 series, so we can assume this includes the X100 and the X100 Pro.
The Upcoming Vivo X200 Series
The Vivo X200 series has been confirmed to debut on 12th October in Beijing, China. While the specifics are naturally scarce, expect more details to emerge in the weeks prior to the event.
Although Vivo has not clearly said how many phones will be released in this series, there should be at least two, one model is X200, and the other is X200 Pro. In Indian markets, it might be unveiled in January sometime but no official news has been given out as to what customers can expect, much like the X100 series, at all.
Rumors suggest that the standard Vivo X200 will feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO 1.5K display, while the Pro version could have a larger 6.7 or 6.8-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO micro-curved display. The series is likely to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, offering an upgrade over the Dimensity 9300 chipset in the previous models.
In terms of camera capabilities, the X200 is expected to come with a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 70mm periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The X200 Pro is said to also offer the same 50MP primary camera, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto.
Battery life is rumored to be 5,600mAh and support for 90W wired charging on the X200 and a 6,000mAh unit on the X200 Pro. Some other X200-series specs could be with an IP68 or IP69 rating, while on the front under the display could be optical and ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
