On April 20th, Vivo will release the Vivo X Fold2 and the Vivo X Flip in China. According to the report, both the Vivo X Fold2 and Vivo X Flip will be equipped with high-end Snapdragon SoCs. There will be three color options for the foldable, as well as a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and more.
Vivo X Fold2 specifications
The Vivo X Fold2 will have an 8.03-inch vertically folding main display. The display will have a resolution of 2,1601×916, a 4:3.5 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 360 ppi. The secondary display would be 6.53 inches, with a 21:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2,520×1080, and a pixel density of 420ppi. The displays will also support HDR10+ and have a refresh rate of 120Hz. The handset weighs 280 grams.
The device will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC, together with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The 4,800mAh battery inside the X Fold2 can be quickly charged at 120W and 50W via wired and wireless chargers.
The phone is rumored to have three cameras: a 12MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens with a 108-degree field of view, a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, and a 12MP portrait camera with a 47mm focal length. A 16MP front camera on the phone will be used for selfies and video calling. Finally, the device will come in three color options Blue, Black, and Red, and include a secure in-display fingerprint scanner.
Vivo X Flip specifications
Contrarily, the X Flip’s specifications are more restrained. The device will have a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 2,520×1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 406ppi, and support for HDR10+. 3 inches will be the height of the cover display. The phone will have 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as its processor. The phone’s 4,400mAh battery will support 44W fast charging.
It has a 32MP main camera with an f/1.7 lens and a 12MP secondary ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 108-degree field of view for photography. For selfies, a 32MP camera will be on the front. The flip will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, just like the X Fold2. The phone will be 200 grams in weight and 166.4mm by 75.3mm by 8.2mm in size. The Vivo X Flip will be offered in purple, black, and gold color variants.
