Vivo V50 Smartphone Secures TDRA and NBTC Certifications for UAE and Thailand Launch

According to a certification from the TDRA, the Vivo V50 with the model number ‘V2427’ has been certified under the equipment registration number ‘ER40083/25’. It belongs to the ‘Mobile Phone’ category, with certification active until 5 January 2028. This move reinforces its preparedness for entry into the Middle Eastern market. Apart from the TDRA, Vivo V50 has also been certified by NBTC with certificate number ‘B38001-25’.

The smartphone will be 5G compatible, as well as connecting to 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, as the listing states, which will prove attractive in the quickly developing 5G sector. Also indicative of its imminent availability in Thailand, the NBTC’s certification for the device lists its name. Along with these certifications, the Vivo V50 phone had earlier been spotted on the European EEC certification platform, indicating a global launch. Now, we have also spotted the device on the IMEI database, which further corroborates the impending launch.

In related developments, Vivo is working on a new sub-brand called ‘Jovi,’ and three models under this brand—Jovi Y39 5G, Jovi V50, and Jovi V50 Lite 5G—have also been listed on the IMEI database. These models are believed to be rebranded versions of Vivo smartphones, given the similarities in their model numbers. The Jovi V50 and Jovi V50 Lite 5G are likely to be rebranded versions of the Vivo V50 and Vivo V50 Lite 5G, while the Vivo Y39 5G is expected to be rebranded as the Jovi Y39 5G model.
