Vivo V20 Pro 5G vs Moto G 5G vs OnePlus Nord 5G: Which is the Best and Cheapest 5G phone in India?

Motorola launched the Moto G 5G smartphone today in India and it is the most affordable 5G smartphone till now in the country. Previously OnePlus Nord 5G was the only budget 5G smartphone in India and it also packs decent specifications. Both the phones are now available in India and we are here to determine the best among these two smartphones with respect to both price and performance for Indian consumers. Before looking at the price or might be you already know for all of them let’s have a look at the specification comparisons and see which one might be a good choice especially for you.

Display

The Moto G 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) LTPS display and the OnePlus Nord has a 6.44-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has a 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display.

The Moto G 5G has a slightly larger screen size but the Nord comes with a 90Hz AMOLED display, whereas the recently launched Vivo V20 Pro 5G has an AMOLED display. This makes it a tougher choice between these phones but one should always opt for a 90Hz AMOLED display over an LTPS display at this time.

Processor

All the phones come with Snapdragon 750G processor which supports 5G connectivity. This what makes both the phones special and the price range make them very affordable 5G smartphones of the country.

Camera

Moto G 5G offers a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP secondary wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture (118-degree field of view), and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, this phone sports a 16MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper at the front.

The OnePlus Nord 5G features a triple rear camera setup at back where we can see a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with an f/1.75 lens. The phone will also have an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field of view (FoV) of 119 degrees, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 5MP depth shooter – both with an f/2.4 aperture. The Nightscape modes are as vibrant as the OnePlus 8. There are dual-cameras at front housed in a punch hole cut. The setup comprises a 32MP Sony IMX616 primary sensor with an f/2.45 lens and an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.45 ultra-wide-angle lens that has an FoV of 105 degrees.

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has a dual selfie camera with a 44 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. One can capture a photo from as close as 2.5cm from the object. Motion Autofocus, Slo-Mo Selfie Video, Super Night Mode, Double Exposure, and Dual View Video are some of the other features of Vivo V20 Pro. The rear panel of the smartphone, which is made of AG Matte Glass, houses a triple camera setup comprising a 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth sensor units. The 8MP module also doubles up as a macro camera to let you capture photos from as close as 2.5cm from the object.

The camera will be better in both Nord and V20 Pro, whereas the Moto G will slightly lag behind in capturing stunning pictures.

Storage

Moto G 5G come only in 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant which is expandable up to 1TB via an external microSD card. Whereas the OnePlus Nord comes in three different RAM and storage options with available upto 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is available with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration.

This genre is totally upon the user’s choice and one should buy a phone according to their RAM and storage requirements. to remind you all higher RAM and storage options have the top most performance delivery.

Battery and Charging

The Moto G 5G is fueled up by a massive 5,000mAH battery with the support of a 20W Turbo Power fast charging. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has a 4,000 mAh battery, it will also come up with 33W fast charging. Whereas, the OnePlus Nord 5G has a 4,115mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.

These are the battery capacities of the three phones and all of them are pretty huge and can easily last more than a day. But obviously, it will matter a few hours between a 1,000mAh difference. Along with this the fast charging tags along and makes both the Moto and OnePlus a comparable choice.

Price and Availability

The Moto G 5G carries a price tag of Rs.20,999 for its sole 6GB RAM/128GB variant. It is available on Flipkart.

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is priced at Rs.29,990 for its 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. It is also available on Flipkart.

OnePlus Nord will have three different RAM and storage variants where the base variant is 6GB + 64GB that is priced at Rs.24,999. Whereas, the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs.27,999 and the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs.29,999. Get your OnePlus Nord on Amazon.

Verdict

Overall if you want to have a cheap 5G smartphone over anything then go for Moto G 5G. If you want to have a properly balanced smartphone that has both performance, display, and camera capability as well. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is best for its camera performance and design. Now, from my experience, I would like to suggest buyers go for the OnePlus Nord variants for an overall performance balancer.
