Vivo S20 Series Pre-Orders Open in China, Launch Imminent

The Chinese smartphone giant will be launching its Vivo S20 series in China at any moment but there is no word from the company yet. The Chinese phone maker has already begun taking pre-orders for the new models through its official online store.

The Vivo page also provides a first look at the rear design of the Vivo S20 family which might be comprised of base Vivo S20, and S20 Pro models that will succeed the last generation called: Vivo S19, and Vivo S19 Pro respectively. On the other hand, the Vivo S20 standard Edition was spotted on a benchmarking site.

The lineup is currently up for pre-reservations on Vivo’s official site in China. Customers who pre-order will receive unspecified benefits worth CNY 278 (approximately ₹3,000). The Vivo 44W charger, a one-year warranty extension, and the opportunity to win Vivo TWS 4 earbuds, Vivo Pad 3, or credit points (Vivo credit points) are included in this offer for the first 2,500 clients.

The initial teaser image of the S20 series reveals a vertically arranged rear camera setup enclosed by a ring flash light with one of the models having a camera housing in a glossy finish.

Besides this, a Vivo phone featuring model number V2429A was also spotted on Geekbench and is rumored to be the vanilla Vivo S20. The phone may run on Android 15, as the listing shows a single-core score of 1,223 and a multi-core score of 3,422. It also shows 14.90GB of RAM, indicating a potential 16GB configuration.

The listing suggests that the device will be powered by an octa-core chipset with the codename ‘crow,’ likely the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, with a base clock of 1.80GHz and a prime core clocked at 2.63GHz.

Leaks indicate that the S20 Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, a 6.67-inch 1.5K display, a 50MP selfie camera, and a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Pro model is also expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging support.
