Vivo launches iQOO gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 855

Vivo launches their new aggressive iQOO gaming smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 855 Soc and up to 12GB RAM

Vivo is always known for its camera smartphones, and recently they launched the V15 Pro with pop-up slider and Snapdragon 675 Soc. Vivo has not really dived into the gaming smartphone market like Xiaomi or ASUS.

Well, these days heavy and intensive smartphones are flooded in the market, so to play them at utmost details, we always need a powerful smartphone. The Poco F1 is undoubtedly is the best one at the budget, but has become quite outdated in 2019.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon is doubt the best available smartphone Soc in he market currently, and new flagships are being powered by this Soc. So, Vivo has tried to make a new gaming smartphone in 2019 and use the best processor in the market currently.

Inspite of being a gaming centric smartphone, this device packs in all the necessary modern features: in-display fingerprint sensor, triple rear cameras and much more…

The Vivo iQOO packs in an immersive 6.41-inch Full HD+ water drop notch screen with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio. So the gaming smartphone with a widescreen will help gamers to get play on a much larger screen with crisp display.

The smartphone is backed by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Soc that is based on 7nm architecture. The smartphone also comes with liquid cooling to keep the smartphone cool even after long gaming sessions.

You can configure this device up to 12GB RAM with 256GB internal memory. Also, there’s the latest Android 9.0 (Pie) with Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 9 on top it.

Coming to the cameras, the iQOO has a triple rear camera setup: 12MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, secondary 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. And as always there’s a 13MP front camera for shooting selfies.

Under the screen, there’s the in-display fingerprint scanner and the device is cased with aluminium alloy frame. The back cover also has two electro-optic lines that hide a colourful LED strip that lights up for notifications and when gaming.

The smartphone also euips two hidden pressure sensitive buttons for gaming, 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene that vibrates the phone to intelligent match the scenes.

The smartphone is juiced by a 4000mAh huge battery that has support for a 44W ultra-fast flash charge which lets you charge the phone from 0 to 50% in 15 minutes, to 85% in 30 minutes, and 100% in 45 minutes.

Price and Availability

The Vivo iQOO comes both in Electro-Optic Blue and Lava Orange colours. The base model without ultra-fast charging has been pried at 2998 yuan or Rs.31,740 approx. for the 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant.

On the other hand, the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant will cost you 3298 yuan or Rs.34,910 approx. and the 8GB RAM with 256GB variant costs around 3598 yuan or Rs.38,090 approx.
