Paris Saint-Germain are close to an agreement with Porto for the signing of their midfielder, Vitinha. The player will make the switch to the French champions once all the details have been finalised between the two clubs.
PSG have agreed personal terms with the player already, and are expecting to finalise the transfer soon. Vitinha is one of the top transfer targets for new sporting director Luis Campos this summer, and he is seemingly one step away from getting his man.
Vitinha agrees personal terms for PSG move
There were rumours Manchester United were monitoring the Portugal international for a move this summer. But, renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported that they were never in the market for him, and didn’t even discuss him as a potential option. United are focusing on Frenkie De Jong as their big midfield signing of the summer. But, they haven’t been able to achieve a breakthrough in negotiations yet.
Vitinha spent the 20/21 season on loan at Wolves, but had a difficult time on the pitch. This past year, he has been able to step up his game with Porto and is now set to move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
He can play as either a six or an eight, and will be a great option as PSG – who need to fortify their midfield. His transfer fee is expected to be worth around €40 million, and will be announced once the medicals have been completed.
