Dani expressed her gratitude for the honor, highlighting her alignment with the ITTF Foundation’s vision for table tennis growth and community impact. She emphasized the sport’s universal appeal and its mental and physical benefits.

The ITTF Foundation, established by the ITTF in 2018, seeks to leverage table tennis’s unique characteristics to promote development and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The foundation believes in the sport’s universal appeal across age, gender, cultural background, social status, and physical capabilities.

Petra Sorling, President of ITTF and ITTF Foundation, welcomed Dani, praising her passion for growing the sport and her dedication to sports in general. Sorling expressed confidence that Dani’s contributions would have a profoundly positive impact on the foundation.

In addition to her role in table tennis, Dani is the founder of the Dani Foundation and co-owner of the Chennaiyin Football Club. The Dani Foundation, based in Mumbai, aims to create a self-sufficient society through empowering individuals and community involvement.

Dani will serve on the ITTF Foundation Governing Board alongside notable figures such as ITTF Group CEO Steve Dainton, former Italian player Stefano Bosi, and ITTF Foundation director Leandro Olvech, among others.
