Doctor Strange’s memory-erasing spell in *No Way Home* was supposed to make the world forget Peter Parker ever existed. But a new *VisionQuest* clip just revealed one AI who never forgot a thing — and it’s raising big questions about who else might remember.

### What the New Clip Reveals?

A behind-the-scenes look at *VisionQuest* shows EDITH, Tony Stark’s AI from *Spider-Man: Far From Home*, casually referencing Peter Parker as her “first boss” who was “a junior in high school.” That’s a direct memory of Peter’s teenage identity — something the spell was supposed to erase from everyone, hero or civilian.

EDITH will appear in human form inside Vision’s mindspace, recast with *Schitt’s Creek* actress Emily Hampshire taking over the role.

### Who Remembers Peter Parker — And Who Doesn’t

| Character | Remembers Peter? | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| EDITH (AI) | Yes | Recalls him clearly as a teen in *VisionQuest* |
| M.J. | Unclear | Possible flicker of memory in *Brand New Day*‘s climax |
| Ned Leeds | Partial | Recognized their old handshake by the film’s end |
| Bruce Banner | No | Showed no memory of Peter |
| Hulk | Ambiguous | Hesitated during their clash, never confirmed why |
| FRIDAY (AI) | Unknown | Was present during *Homecoming*, status untested |

### Why This Matters Going Forward

This inconsistency suggests Doctor Strange’s spell from [Spider-Man: No Way Home](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man:_No_Way_Home) may not have worked uniformly across every mind connected to Peter — especially artificial ones. Reports have suggested Marvel could eventually reverse the spell after *Avengers: Secret Wars*, though *Brand New Day*‘s organic reunions with Ned and possibly M.J. make a full magical undo seem less likely. The real answers may not surface until *Spider-Man 5*.

#### FAQs

**Q1: Does EDITH remember Peter Parker in VisionQuest?**
Yes — she clearly recalls him as a teenage “boss,” despite Doctor Strange’s spell erasing his identity from the world.

**Q2: Will Doctor Strange’s memory spell ever be reversed?**
It’s possible after Avengers: Secret Wars, but Brand New Day’s natural reunions make a full reversal less likely.
