Marvel Studios is making history again — this time not with a new hero, but with a release strategy. *VisionQuest* is about to set the record for the shortest gap ever between a red-carpet premiere and its Disney+ streaming debut.

### What Makes VisionQuest’s Release So Historic

Paul Bettany’s synthezoid drama, a direct follow-up to 2021’s [WandaVision](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WandaVision), will screen its first two episodes at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival on October 12 — just two days before it hits Disney+ on October 14. That narrow window beats every previous MCU series premiere-to-streaming gap.

### How VisionQuest Compares to Past MCU Premieres

| Show | Premiere Event | Gap to Streaming |
| --- | --- | --- |
| *VisionQuest* | London Film Festival | 2 days |
| *Daredevil: Born Again* S2 | NYC launch event | 1 day (season, not series debut) |
| *She-Hulk: Attorney at Law* | El Capitan Theatre | 3 days |
| Typical MCU series | Red carpet premiere | 5–7 days |

*VisionQuest* also holds another milestone: it completes the MCU’s first live-action trilogy since Disney acquired Marvel Studios, following on from *WandaVision*.

### What’s Coming Next for Marvel on Disney+

*VisionQuest* is just the opener for a packed slate. *Daredevil: Born Again* Season 3 arrives in March 2027, reuniting Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Beyond that, Marvel has several more projects brewing:

- **Strange Academy** — a Wong-led series introducing new young heroes, though it may shift to a theatrical film
- **Champions** — a possible *Young Avengers*-style team-up led by Kamala Khan
- **Jessica Jones solo series** — expanding her street-level story further
- **Iron Fist & Luke Cage Special Presentation** — a shorter, contained project for the “Heroes for Hire” duo
- **Mystery Special Presentation** — rumored to have a “detective” theme

Marvel appears to be leaning into shorter, special-presentation formats alongside traditional seasons, giving both longtime fans and newcomers easier entry points into the growing universe.
