Virat Kohli became the first Indian skipper to win a T-20 series in SENA [South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia] countries. The Blues has made an excellent comeback in the T-20 series by winning it 2-0 after losing the ODI series by 2-1.

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won in Australia and South Africa but wasn’t able to register a series victory in New Zealand and England.

Batting first, Australia has set a mammoth total of 194 for India to chase. India started the chase well as Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli played knocks of 52 and 40 respectively.

Hardik Pandya [42 not out] and Shreyas Iyer [12 not out] finished that as India win by 6 wickets with 2 balls to spare.

It is an instant reply by Virat Kohli to his critics. He was highly criticized after IPL. Some suggested to replace him with Rohit Sharma as the captain of India.

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir said, “If Rohit Sharma doesn’t become India’s captain, it’s their loss, not Rohit’s. Yes, a captain is only as good as his team and I completely agree with that, but what are the parameters to judge a captain on who is good and who isn’t? The parameters and benchmark should be the same. Rohit has led his team to five IPL titles.” Virender Sehwag, Michael Vaughan also suggested the same.

The criticism increased as India lost the ODI series as well. This achievement will surely shut the critics.
