Virat Kohli has been named #1 in the list of the top 100 athletes in the world for 2024, becoming the only cricketer to be named in Ranker’s list. The 35-year-old has been joined by football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the list as well.
Ronaldo is on number two in the list, while Messi ranks third in the list. Novak Djokovic is fourth, and is followed by Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Norway, completing the top five.

The 35-year-old has been named in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup, after an incredible start to the 2024 IPL. Until recently, he held the orange cap, for having the most runs in the IPL before being surpassed by Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Kohli remains a fan favourite for his incredible dedication and commitment to the sport and his athleticism in spite of his age. The RCB batter is still showing that he is at the top of his game, and is fully deserving of a place at the top of the list.
The rest of the list includes prominent athletes from other sports including Max Verstappen, Nikola Jokic, Shohei Ohtani and Steph Curry.
