Real Madrid have revealed plans for a Vinicius Jr exclusive Netflix documentary, with a potential release date in 2025. The winger suffered massive racial abuse last season when Madrid travelled to the Mestalla to face Valencia. And the documentary will highlight how he has been able to bounce back from the abuse to solidify himself as one of the top players in the world.

Aged 22, Vinicius Jr has now regularly started to show why Madrid paid so much money for him when he was a teenager in Brazil. It has taken time, but the Brazilian has earned the number 7 shirt, and is one of the best when it comes to attackers.

Vinicius Jr documentary to be released in 2025 on Netflix

There are plans to film every second of Valencia vs. Real Madrid on March 2 at Mestalla, in anticipation of another such incident breaking out. The fans in Valencia have been hostile towards Vinicius Jr in the past, but that hasn’t stopped him from speaking out against racist abuse.

The Real Madrid star is one of the loudest voices in the battle against racism in Spain, and the documentary will definitely shed light on his personal struggles with such discrimination as a pro footballer.

Football documentaries have made headlines recently, specifically with Manchester City and Arsenal’s Amazon Prime documentaries. Now, with Netflix entering the football space, we can expect to see a different view of the world’s game.
