Chelsea and Napoli are reportedly in negotiations for Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen. The two clubs are discussing a loan deal for Osimhen according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

However, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda hit back at the rumours with a strongly worded statement, calling the recent happening fake news. He wrote on X:

“I read about imaginative exchanges with Victor sent here and there as if he were a package to be delivered quickly. This package, however, is the top scorer of the third scudetto in Napoli’s history. Respect and stop with fake news!!!!”

Romelu Lukaku-Victor Osimhen swap deal latest

Lukaku has no place in Chelsea’s plans and is keen on reuniting with Antonio Conte at Napoli. If the Belgian moves, he will do so on a permanent transfer, and has an agreement on personal terms with the former Scudetto winners.

On the other hand, the Nigerian will move on a loan deal with the option to make it permanent next summer. However, the details have not been finalised yet and the two clubs are reportedly still in discussions.

David Ornstein has seemingly pinned his tweet regarding the Osimhen-Lukaku transfer following Calenda’s statement. And now, it remains to be seen what direction the transfer saga takes given its fiery start.
