Vodafone Idea (Vi) will launch high-speed 5G services in Delhi-NCR starting 15 May (Thursday), marking a major step in its phased nationwide rollout. With this, Delhi-NCR becomes the fourth region to be added to Vi’s expanding 5G network, which until now included Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Patna. According to the company, it is aiming to roll out 5G coverage for its 17 priority circles – those where it holds 5G spectrum – by August 2025.

The company is also employing a 5G Non-StandAlone (NSA) construction, which a smooth transition between 4G and 5G networks. This helps guarantee a smooth and seamless transition for users throughout the early launch phases.
For the launch of 5G, as Vi announced through a press release, Vodafone is offering an introductory ₹299, to those who have a 5G-ready handset. This pack comes with unlimited data, hoping to lure the early adopters and increase user satisfaction in newly launched areas.
