**Quick take:** Vodafone Idea has reportedly raised its 84-day prepaid plan from ₹859 to ₹899 without an announcement, and the ₹859 pack is gone. The change matches a similar move by Airtel earlier. I could not confirm Vi’s change independently.

## How It Compares

We reported earlier that [Airtel raised its ₹859 plan to ₹899](https://technosports.co.in/airtel-quietly-hikes-its-859-prepaid-plan-to-899/) and dropped its ₹799 plan. A Jio 84-day plan with 1.5GB a day was listed at ₹889 at the time. So the ₹899 level is becoming the industry norm for this pack. Analysts have also flagged a possible broader tariff increase, covered in our piece on [a possible 12% hike](https://technosports.co.in/jio-airtel-and-vi-could-hike-prices-by-12/).

## What You Can Do

- Compare per-day cost across Jio, Airtel and Vi before recharging.
- Check whether a cheaper voice-only plan works if you barely use data, as in our report on [Airtel’s voice-only plans](https://technosports.co.in/).
