Toyota, Mahindra, Citroen, and MG will all release new products in the first month of the new calendar year. With the automobile market currently seeing tremendous growth, several brands are looking to extend their portfolio in the country, and as many as seven prominent new cars will be released in the market next month.
1. Toyota Innova Hycross:
The firm just introduced the new Innova Hycross, which will have new and enhanced powertrain options, a new architecture, new amenities, and an improved in-cabin experience. This new-generation model will go on sale next month in two seating configurations: 6-seater and 7-seater. Prices are expected to range between Rs. 22 lakh and Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. Mahindra XUV400:
The new XUV400 pricing will be officially disclosed next month, and this new electric SUV will compete in the country with rivals such as the Tata Nexon EV Max and the MG ZS EV. The XUV400 EV is the quickest Made-in-India electric car, with a stated 0-100 kmph time of 8.3 seconds and a 150 horsepower single-motor arrangement that generates 310 Nm of maximum torque.
3. Tata Tiago EV:
The Tata Tiago EV is currently positioned as the most affordable electric vehicle in the country and will be available for purchase soon. It is available with two battery pack sizes: 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. It is powered by Ziptron high-voltage technology and a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor from the brand. Customer deliveries will begin the following month.
4. BYD Atto 3:
The new Atto 3 is BYD’s second offering in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car will go on sale next month and has an ARAI-certified range of 521 kilometres on a single charge. It is propelled by a single motor with a claimed power output of 201 horsepower and maximum torque of 310 Nm. Its deliveries will begin in January 2023.
5. Citroen C3 EV:
The new C3 was just introduced in the country as the brand’s second model, and an all-electric version is on the way. The new C3 EV will go on sale next month and will be based on the Citroen C3. It is expected to receive a 50 kWh battery that powers a 136 Ps powertrain with a maximum torque output of 260 Nm. On a single charge, the maximum range is projected to be roughly 350 kilometres.
6. MG Hector/ Hector Plus Facelift:
MG will also launch facelift models of the new Hector and Hector Plus in the country, with improved exterior style, additional safety systems like as ADAS, and many other new features. The SUVs will retain the same powertrain options, as well as features such as a new completely digital 7-inch instrument panel and the segment’s largest infotainment system.
