Some confessions come with consequences — and Varun Yadav, aka Laila, just learned that the hard way. On the latest episode of **Not Gonna Lie**, what started as a cheeky travel story spiralled into one of the segment’s funniest (and most painful) moments yet.

## The Story That Started It All

Laila recalled a trip to Thailand where he visited a barber club and hit it off with a woman he described as polite and easy to talk to. He admitted he barely knew much about her at the time, yet the two ended up spending the day together — eating, drinking, and exploring, all while he grew increasingly smitten.

Naturally, this became prime material for a truth-or-lie showdown.

## Truth or Lie: The Verdict Didn’t Go His Way

The audience — along with fellow contestant [Aarush Bhola](https://www.pinkvilla.com/cinema/a-popular-bowler-slid-into-her-instagram-dms-things-get-juicy-on-pinkvilla-buzzs-not-gonna-lie-ft-aarush-bhola-and-varun-yadav-1404774) — was split on whether Laila’s story held up. He stayed confident, fully expecting to win. Instead, he was called out as the one who lied — and the punishment was already waiting in the wings.

As soon as the wax strips came out, reality hit Laila hard. By the end, it had turned into one of the show’s most talked-about segments, proving that on Not Gonna Lie, a good story can come with a genuinely painful price.
