“Val”: The Official Life story of Val Kilmer with Four Decades of Home Videos

Amazon Studios has dropped the official trailer of “Val” that has ahead of the documentary’s world premiere at the 2021 Cannas Film Festival. It is directed by Leo Scott and Ting Poo. It mainly tells the story of an actor, Val Kilmer, along the home videos and he has shot it personally over the four decades. He also has served as an executive producer in this project.

The story of this film depicts about 40 years of Val Kilmer who is Hollywood’s most mercurial and also known as a misunderstood actor that has been documenting with his own life and also even crafts through the film and also video.

He has amassed thousands of hours of the footage, from the 16mm home films that have made with his brothers as the time spent in these iconic roles for the blockbuster films like ‘Top Gun’, ‘The Doors’, ’Tombstone’, and ‘Batman Forever.

This is a raw and wildly original unflinching documentary that exposes a life that lived to the extremes and also heart-filled and it may sometimes be hilarious that look about actually what it means to become an artist and also a very complex man.

It has been informed that Poo and Scott have spent over nine months digitizing the home videos of Kilmer to utilize them in their documentary. Scott also has told that the more of it you will get to watch the more you realize who he is now. There is always a sense that exists from the material that he and been knowing. It also has gathered many of these things for the larger story in one day.

It is expected that the cinephiles will get more interest to watch the on-set videos Kilmer has recorded during the making of the most famous films. He also had shot over 200 hours of the footage just around the ‘Red Planet’. 

He has his own camera with the set of his own HD cam. It was enough and they ended up using less than a minute. Val has got the cameras too early on that person that had not been even used to get the cameras on the set for that he had managed for the different perspective.

Release date

Amazon Studios has set to release the trailer in theatres on 23rd July 2021. All the documentaries will start to stream on 6th august on amazon prime Video.
