When two of Bollywood’s most underrated talents — Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta — come together for a crime thriller, you’d expect audiences to take notice. And they have, though quietly. Vadh 2 is that rare small-budget Hindi film that’s still holding on in theatres, even against bigger new releases.

## Vadh 2 Box Office Numbers at a Glance

Released on February 6, 2026, Vadh 2 has now completed two weeks in theatres. Here’s a clean breakdown of its earnings:

| Week | Nett India Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Week 1 | Rs 3.05 crore |
| Week 2 | Rs 25 lakh |
| **Total Cume** | **Rs 3.30 crore** |
| Target Finish | Rs 3.50 crore |

## A Small Film Punching Above Its Weight

Despite competition from newer releases like *O Romeo* and *Tu Yaa Main*, Vadh 2 has continued its theatrical run— and that alone speaks volumes for a low-budget Bollywood drama in 2026.

When compared to the original *Vadh* (2022), the spiritual sequel has performed significantly better — the first film wrapped up its entire theatrical run at just around Rs 65 lakh. So crossing Rs 3.30 crore is a genuine win for the franchise.

## What’s the Film About?

Directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 follows a police officer’s pursuit of truth in a shocking prison crime, with the narrative intertwining the lives of a widowed prison guard and a soon-to-be-released inmate — unraveling a web of morality and redemption.

The film also features Kumud Mishra, Yogita Bihani, Akshay Dogra, and Shilpa Shukla in key roles — a solid ensemble that lifts the film’s credibility.

Backed by [Luv Films](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luv_Films), one of Bollywood’s most reliable production houses for small-budget hits, the movie had a promising foundation from day one.
