**Vaazha 2** debuted with ₹5.20 crore on Day 1 in Kerala, saw a healthy spike to ₹5.75 crore on Day 2, and then absolutely *exploded* on Day 3 with ₹7.25 crore — bringing its three-day Kerala gross to ₹18.20 crore.

But what makes that Day 3 number truly jaw-dropping is the company it puts the film in.

Vaazha 2 became only the **10th Indian film ever** to gross over ₹7 crore in a single day at the Kerala box office. The elite list includes KGF Chapter 2, Leo, Empuraan, Coolie, and Aadu 3 — making this achievement extraordinary for a film led by debut actors.

## Vaazha 2: A Record That Rewrites the Rules

Based on current trends, Vaazha 2 is on course to close its opening weekend at around ₹26 crore in Kerala — which would set a brand new weekend record for a Malayalam film featuring a debut hero or star cast.

That kind of feat, from a sequel built on youth energy and street-level authenticity, is genuinely unprecedented in [Malayalam cinema](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malayalam_cinema). The franchise’s loyal fanbase clearly showed up — and brought everyone they know.

## What Is Vaazha 2 About?
