*Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros.* has pulled off something truly sensational at the Kerala [box office](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_office). Starring debutant **Hashir** alongside a fresh ensemble cast, this coming-of-age comedy drama has become a record-breaking phenomenon — and the most exciting part is, the run has barely begun.

## Vaazha 2 Box Office Numbers at a Glance

| Day | Kerala Collections |
| --- | --- |
| Day 1 | Rs. 5.20 crore |
| Day 2 | Rs. 5.75 crore |
| Day 3 | Rs. 7.25 crore |
| Day 4 | Rs. 8.30 crore |
| Day 5 | Rs. 7.40 crore |
| Day 6 | Rs. 7.30 crore |
| Day 7 | Rs. 7.50 crore |
| Day 8 (est.) | Rs. 8.50 crore |
| **Extended Week 1 Total** | **Rs. 57.20 crore** |

## What Makes This Run Extraordinary?

The numbers alone are impressive, but the context makes them genuinely historic. *Vaazha 2* has set a **new record for the highest first-week collection by a Malayalam film featuring a debutant or newcomer cast** — a milestone that puts it in rare company.

What’s even more remarkable is the trajectory. Day 8 saw a **38% spike over Day 1** and matched the film’s best single-day collection (its Sunday figure) — a sign that audience interest is not just holding steady but actively growing. That kind of momentum in the second week is what separates genuinely great runs from flash-in-the-pan openings.

## Eyes on the Rs 100 Crore Club

The film has already crossed **Rs 100 crore worldwide** within 7 days. In Kerala alone, it is now being positioned as a serious contender for the Rs 100 crore mark — which would make it only the **third Malayalam film ever** to achieve that feat in its home state, joining *Thudarum* and *Lokah Chapter One – Chandra* in that elite club. And based on its current momentum, industry insiders believe it may even surpass both to emerge as Kerala’s biggest Industry Hit.

Directed by **Savin Sa** and produced and written by **Vipin Das** (the creative force behind the original *Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys*), the sequel stars **Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak**. The fresh and eclectic soundtrack is handled by the band **Malayali Monkeys** along with a roster of indie artists, with cinematography by Akhil Lailasuran and editing by Kannan Mohan — a collaborative indie spirit that clearly resonated with Kerala audiences in a massive way.
