Sony launched a desktop application named ‘Imaging Edge webcam’ that is actually enabling the entire facility. Before going to further steps let you know this application can only run on Windows 10, which means Mac users are away from this benefit for now. As per Sony, ‘Imaging Edge webcam’ is compatible with 35 Sony camera models including Alpha 9 II, Alpha 9, Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III, Alpha 7R II, Alpha 7S III, Alpha 7S II, Alpha 7S, Alpha 7 III, Alpha 7 II, Alpha 6600, Alpha 6400, Alpha 6100, Alpha 5100, RX100 VII, RX100 VI, RX0 II, RX0, vlog camera ZV-1, and so on.

To enjoy the best image quality during a video call, you just need to follow four simple steps. Here are those –

1. Download and install the ‘Imaging Edge Webcam’ on your computer (running on Windows 10)
2. Adjust your camera settings as per your preference
3. Connect your Sony camera with your computer
4. Launch your video conferencing app/platform and you will see your Sony camera as a webcam option
