Now that Chinese New Year is approaching, the Vivo S12 is almost here, the device has been codenamed ‘Superman’ and is expected to be released later this month.

The Vivo S Series has always kept its focus on selfie camera performance and featured slim and stylish appearances.

However, the more hardcore Superman codename seemingly signals the dawn of a new era in terms of the strategy adopted by Vivo for the S Series.

Superman represents power, speed, versatility, and other characteristics. This probably does not mean that Vivo will be doing away with all of the selfie techs it has developed over the years.

Renders of the Vivo S12 Pro

The Vivo S Series should continue to include features such as enhanced beauty, RAW domain noise reduction, and selfie soft light.

But these will be topped by improvements to raw performance and the gaming experience.

Tipster Digital Chat Station recently stated that the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro are currently the new OriginOS Ocean system and support 44W fast charging.

These two, in combination with the iQOO Neo5se, iQOO Neo 5s, etc., are equipped with the Snapdragon 778G chip + Dimensity 1200 + Snapdragon 888 chips.

As per previous leaks, the Vivo S12 Pro uses an FHD+ OLED high refresh rate with a curved display, a 50MP dual-camera setup on the front, a 108MP triple camera setup on the rear, and Dimensity 1200 processor. It will come pre-installed with OriginOS Ocean and will be priced at $450-500 (33.941-37,312 INR).
