Many laptops are coming in 2021 equipped with new Ryzen 5000 series processors for mobile, and we are getting more leaks as the launch approaches next month. Obviously, @momomo_us has found many leaks about these new AMD processors and the laptops featuring them.
One of them includes the 2020’s most popular budget laptop and 2-in-1, i.e., Lenovo Flex 5, which also seems to be upgraded with the latest APUs. We do not know if it’s just a hardware upgrade or a complete overhaul; the only thing that has been leaked is the model numbers and the processors that will be featured on upcoming Lenovo Flex 5 laptops.

All of the Lenovo Flex 5 models seem to feature the Renoir refresh or Lucienne APUs of the Ryzen 5000U series. These are nothing but the same Zen 2 based APUs but with improved clock speeds, and the Flex 5 will be offered with all of the three – 4-core Ryzen 3 5300U, 8-core Ryzen 5 5500U, and Ryzen 7 5700U.
Also, these new APUs have SMT enabled, so more threads, meaning more multithreaded performance. On the other hand, the Ideapad Flex 5 will retain Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 models to offer a better mid-range laptop experience; more leaks and details should surely float in the coming days.
