Upcoming Intel Core i9-11950H is slower than AMD Ryzen 7 5800H on Geekbench

Intel Tiger Lake lineup for laptops announced: up to 4.8GHz turbo confirmed

Intel is soon planning to launch its premium Tiger Lake-H mobile gaming processors with up to 8 cores and 16 threads. Among them, the new Intel Core i9-11950H has been spotted on Geekbench and it would fit between Core i9-11980HK and Core i9-11900H.

However, the difference between the Core i9-11900H and the Intel Core i9-11950H is very nominal because the base clock has been increased from 2.5 GHz to 2.6 GHz. It sports up to 4.89GHz boost clock speeds, 24MB L3 cache and consumes 45W TDP.

This processor has been spotted running on HP ZBook Studio 15.6 G8 Mobile workstation PC and is paired with 32GB RAM.

Upcoming Intel Core i9-11950H is slower than AMD Ryzen 7 5800H on Geekbench

The Intel Core i9-11950H processor with all its 8 cores posts a single-core score of 1365 points and multi-core score of 6266 points. Obviously these scores are not very convincing against the competition but is faster than Core i9-10885H which is currently used by the current generation HP Zbook Studio.

When compared to the average score of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H posts a Geekbench single-core score of 1357 points and for multi-core score of 7165 points. It will be interesting to see if the final CPU could deliver a similar performance to that of AMD and how they perform in games; you can expect an official announcement on May 11th.
