AMD will be launching its next-gen Ryzen 5000H gaming processors at CES 2021. As we know, these upcoming APUs will be using AMD’s revolutionary Zen 3 architecture.

We have seen many leaks of these processors, and now we have a new score of the upcoming Ryzen 9 5900H. This eight-core, 16 threaded 45W chip has outmuscled a 125W desktop Core i7-10700K in Geekbench recently.

It will be featuring 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. The processor has a base clock speed of 3.30 GHz & the boost clock speed of 4.60 GHz, although in the Geekbench listing we see boosts reaching 4.65GHz.

The Ryzen 9 5900H was tested on a standard platform with 32 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory. It posted a score of 1520 points in single-core and a humongous 9325 points in multi-core tests.

Compared with its predecessor Ryzen 9 4900HS, which in turn scored 1092 points in single-core and 7040 points in multi-core tests, the Ryzen 9 5900H is 39% better in single-core and 32% in multi-core.

This is a pretty good generational performance leap, especially in single-core, thanks to the Zen 3 architecture. Of course, this kind of performance is mainly due to the efficiency of these upcoming Ryzen APUs.
