*Unchosen* follows Rosie, a woman living inside a cloistered Christian sect with her husband Adam and daughter. When an escaped prisoner named Sam stumbles into her world, the cracks in her marriage — and her community — begin to show. The real question the show poses: is the greater danger the [cult](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult) she was raised in, or the mysterious criminal offering her a way out?

It’s the kind of story that keeps you second-guessing everyone on screen. Created and written by Julie Gearey and directed by Jim Loach (*Criminal Record*), the series promises tightly wound tension across its **six ~50-minute episodes**.

## Why *Unchosen* Could Be a Big Hit

The cult-thriller genre has a proven appetite on streaming platforms, and *Unchosen* ticks every box — a morally complex female lead, a claustrophobic religious setting, and a cast that brings serious dramatic credibility. It feels less like a procedural and more like a slow-burn character study where every episode will leave you with more questions than answers.
