September 21, 2022 — Strikerz Inc., the development team behind the online football video game UFL, have signed a new partnership deal with Bundesliga powerhouse Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
In the 118 years since it was founded, Bayer 04 has earned a reputation as one of the biggest clubs in the German top tier. Their academy is one of the best in the league and helps them compete for domestic honors every year. In 1988, the Leverkusen club made one of the most dramatic comebacks in the history of the UEFA Cup Finals when they struggled back from a 3-point deficit to eventually win on penalties.

“The history of Bayer 04 shows you should never give up while there’s still a chance,” said Eugene Nashilov, CEO at Strikerz Inc., after signing the deal. “They won the European trophy because they played to the final whistle. That’s a trait that we, at Strikerz Inc., have always admired. And we are happy to welcome Bayer 04 into the UFL family.”

Over the last year, Strikerz Inc. have announced their partnerships with West Ham United F.C., Borussia Mönchengladbach, AS Monaco, and Beşiktaş JK, as well as a license agreement with Sporting CP and Shakhtar Donetsk F.C.
UFL has been in development since 2016. The game will be available for free, with new features and updates added regularly with no mandatory payments or yearly fees. The game is designed to be a fair-to-play experience emphasizing a skill-first approach, with zero pay-to-win options.
