Two late goals from the home team helped them earn all three points in the Champions League against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham. The upset of the night saw Paulinho and Pedro Goncalves combine for the first goal, while Arthur Gomes ensured the win with a stunning effort three minutes into injury time.

Liverpool 2-1 Ajax

Joel Matip earned the winner for the Merseyside club, with Mohamed Salah opening the scoring early. Mo Kudus leveled things up shortly after Salah’s goal, but the centre-back headed the ball past the keeper for a goal by the finest of margins.
