Napoli thrash Liverpool 4-1
The Azzurri had the best start to their Champions League campaign, while Liverpool endured a nightmare in Italy. A James Milner handball led to a penalty in the first five minutes, which Piotr Zielinski converted.
A second penalty was awarded shortly after, but was saved by Alisson. Zielinski assisted Zambo Anguissa for the second goal, and scored the final one himself. Giovanni Simeone scored on his Champions League debut, tapping in a cross from Khvicha Khvaratskhelia.
Atletico Madrid’s crazy finish
All three goals in Atletico’s 2-1 win came in injury time. Hermoso scored in the first minute, while Porto equalised through a penalty at 96 minutes. Antoine Griezmann saved the day yet again, as he scored in the 11th minute of added time to take all three points.
Barcelona cruise to win
Robert Lewandowski scored his first hattrick for Barcelona against Viktoria Plzen, as he surpassed Karim Benzema in the Champions League scoring charts. Franck Kessie scored his first goal for his new club as well, while Ferran Torres made it five.
