Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-2 Real Madrid

Marcus Thuram scored two goals to put the German club in the lead, and up until the 87th minute, it looked as if the foals had secured all three points. However, late goals from Benzema and Casemiro managed to save a point for Los Blancos.

Benzema was also caught up in the drama of telling Ferland Mendy that Vinicius Jr was playing for Gladbach instead. The Frenchman did not pass the ball to Vinicius once.

Marseille 0-3 Manchester City

The Cityzens managed to come away with an easy victory against Marseille, who never stood much of a chance against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Ferran Torres opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Raheem Sterling assisted a goal for Gundogan in the 76th minute and scored one himself to bury the match in favour of the Sky Blues.

Manchester United 5-0 RB Leipzig

United managed to get their first home victory of the season in glorious fashion as the Red Devils cruised to a 5-0 victory against the team at the top of the Bundesliga.

Mason Greenwood opened the scoring in the first half as he shot the ball across Gulacsi, scoring his first Champions League goal. However, Marcus Rashford was the hero of the match as he scored a hat-trick off the bench in 27 minutes. A feat that would surely make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer proud of the Englishman.

Juventus 0-2 Barcelona

It’s an absolute shame that a lot of starters were missing from Juventus. Gerard Pique’s absence went almost unnoticed as Barcelona managed to shut the opposition out while scoring two.

13 – Álvaro Morata, who has had three goals ruled out for offside tonight against Barcelona, has been caught offside 13 times in the Champions League since the start of last season – only Timo Werner (also 13) can match his tally. ÁlVARo. pic.twitter.com/C2FD1aQcZ5

Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona. Alvaro Morata could have made the scoreline read 3-2, but each and every goal was ruled out for offside. An awfully unlucky night for the Juventus striker.
