UEFA has been announcing the Men’s Team of the Year for quite some time now, but they have made history by announcing the Women’s Team of the Year for the very first time this year.

The Women’s Team of the Year 2020 is headed by six players from Champions League winners Lyon. Lucy Bronze, who won the Best FIFA Women’s player 2020 is the only player from England to be included in the TOTY.

The UEFA Women’s Team of the Year 2020:

  • GK – Sarah Bouhaddi (Olympique Lyonnais & France)
  • RB – Lucy Bronze (Olympique Lyonnais/Manchester City FC & England)
  • CB – Kadeisha Buchanan (Olympique Lyonnais & Canada)
  • CB – Wendie Renard (Olympique Lyonnais & France)
  • LB – Magdalena Eriksson (Chelsea FC & Sweden)
  • CM – Kheira Hamraoui (FC Barcelona & France)
  • CM – Amandine Henry (Olympique Lyonnais & France)
  • RW – Delphine Cascarino (Olympique Lyonnais & France)
  • CAM – Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir (VfL Wolfsburg/Olympique Lyonnais & Iceland)
  • LW – Daniëlle van de Donk (Arsenal FC & Netherlands)
  • ST – Pernille Harder (VfL Wolfsburg/Chelsea FC & Denmark)
