Ayushmann Khurrana’s *Udta Teer* has wrapped its opening weekend with a decent, if not spectacular, result. Sunday brought only a modest bump, so the real test now moves to the weekdays.

## Udta Teer: Weekend Box Office

| Day | Net collection (India) |
| --- | --- |
| **Friday (Day 1)** | Rs 3.75 crore |
| **Saturday (Day 2)** | Rs 7.25 crore |
| **Sunday (Day 3)** | Rs 8 crore |
| **3-day total** | **Rs 19 crore** |
| **4-day total (after Monday)** | About Rs 22 crore |
| **First-week projection** | About Rs 25 crore |

## Udta Teer: A Modest Sunday

The film earned Rs 8 crore on its first Sunday, a 10 per cent rise over Saturday. Pinkvilla notes that the jump should have been better, which suggests word of mouth hasn’t been strong. The overall weekend figure is still described as a decent debut, and a later update shows a fair hold on Monday with a four-day total near Rs 22 crore.

## What the Film Needs Next?

The trade view is clear: strong weekday numbers are essential. There’s only one open week before *Ramayana: Part One* arrives and takes over screens, so the film has limited time. Based on current trends, it’s heading to close its first week around Rs 25 crore.

## The Bigger Picture for Ayushmann

Pre-pandemic, Ayushmann Khurrana was building a strong box-office track record with consecutive hits. Since then, the market has shifted, and he’s felt the impact more than most. Pinkvilla argues that a first day of Rs 7-8 crore would have set this film on a smooth path, perhaps even to hit status. Instead, the slower start means it has to work harder for every rupee.

## Conclusion

The audience response sounds mixed, and that’s the problem. When a film builds its numbers slowly, it needs enthusiastic recommendations to survive, and lukewarm talk doesn’t provide that. Still, a steady weekday run could keep it respectable. Watch Tuesday and Wednesday closely.
