U Mumba partnered with One8 Run Club to host a unique 5k run aimed at empowering individuals with the necessary knowledge and motivation to improve their health, well-being, fitness, mental clarity, and overall quality of life. The event commenced at 6.30 a.m. on Sunday, starting from Play The Turf in Malad (West), with the goal of promoting health and fitness.

Former U Mumba Kabaddi players Vishal Mane, Rishank Devadiga, and Ajinkya Kapre, along with current retained young player Pranay Rane and CEO Suhail Chandhok, were in attendance at the event. The objective of this collaboration was to foster an environment that promotes inclusivity and encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds and sporting disciplines to unite and embrace the importance of physical fitness and well-being.
U Mumba CEO Chandhok commented that the collaboration between One8 Run Club and U Mumba was a natural fit due to their shared embodiment of the Mumbai spirit, tenacity, grit, and resilience. Both activities, running and professional sports, require pushing through challenges and overcoming obstacles. This partnership signifies the mutual understanding of facing difficult moments and finding inner strength. Chandhok also mentioned that Virat Kohli, an ambassador of the One8 Run Club, personifies the same fighting spirit. He further added that this collaboration marks the beginning of a series of partnerships between U Mumba and One8 Run Club.
After completing the run, attendees of the One8 Run Club had the opportunity to engage with the U Mumba Kabaddi athletes. During the interaction, the players discussed their fitness routine and the significance of daily exercise. Additionally, participants enjoyed lighthearted moments with the Kabaddi stars, capturing the memories with selfies.
At the event, young Rane found himself in a completely unfamiliar situation. However, his deep affection and enthusiasm for Kabaddi and staying fit were unmistakable.
Pranay Rane emphasized the significance of running for overall health, even in sports like Kabaddi. He highlighted the importance of incorporating daily walks or runs, even for those who may not visit a gym. Rane personally makes it a point to go for runs every morning as part of his workout routine. He expressed his happiness in seeing a community of health-conscious individuals who motivate and support one another.
