In the latest instalment of the Pro Kabaddi League, U Mumba has experienced a significant increase in sponsorship, reflecting a 60% boost in their valuation. This achievement is a testament to the rising prominence of U Mumba as a brand and the team’s strong vision for Kabaddi throughout India.

U Mumba has gained the support of eight sponsors, including Melbat Live, a leading sports news portal that serves as its title partner. Another notable partnership is with Macho Hint, an innerwear brand targeting millennials and Gen Z and a sub-brand of the well-known Macho.
Six brands have joined U Mumba as Associate Partners, including Rajdhani Besan, a pioneer in agro-food products in India, Je & Vee Infrastructures, a leading construction firm, and Vi John, a globally recognized manufacturer of beauty, skincare, personal care, and cosmetic products. Other partners include Great White Electricals, an innovator in the home electrics space, Bank of Maharashtra, a public sector bank, and Abros Shoes, a popular footwear brand, all proudly sporting the Mumbai colors in Season 10.
Suhail Chandok, CEO of U Mumba, expressed his excitement about welcoming new partners and returning ones to the U Mumba family. He emphasized the shared vision and values that unite them and their confidence in elevating U Mumba’s brand loyalty to new heights. He also acknowledged the trust these esteemed brands have placed in U Mumba, reflecting the value they’ve built over the years and the power of brand recognition. Chandok also noted the global impact of Kabaddi and its effectiveness as a marketing platform for brands seeking a pan-India consumer base.
Several other collaborations have been forged for the season, including partnerships with 92.7 Big FM, Nivia, a noteworthy homegrown sports brand, Swades Foundation, a leading NGO in Mumbai, Fast&Up, a top nutrition provider, and Baller Athletik, India’s pioneer in energy-enhancing transformative clothing.
According to the GroupM ‘India Sports Sponsorship Report 2023’, sports sponsorship in India reached INR 5907 Cr ($Mn 748) in 2022, reflecting a growth of 105%. Emerging sports contributed to an overall revenue of INR 1503 Cr ($Mn 190), representing an incremental value of INR 829 Cr ($Mn 104) year-on-year.
In their next Pro Kabaddi League match, U Mumba will face Telugu Titans in Noida on December 30th. After that, the Pro Kabaddi caravan will move to Mumbai for U Mumba’s Home leg starting on January 5th.
Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India stats revealed that the opening weekend of PKL Season 10 alone attracted 80.1 million viewers, marking a 32% increase from the 2022 season. The consumption also increased by 27% to 2.7 billion minutes over just the first four matches.
