Eleven years is a long time to build a home, and now reports suggest TWICE’s Tzuyu may be ready to step into a new one. A media outlet claimed on July 14 that Tzuyu is leaving JYP Entertainment after over a decade with the label — though notably, she’s expected to keep participating in TWICE’s group activities even if she goes solo on the agency front.

## TWICE Overview

| Detail | Information |
| --- | --- |
| Idol | Tzuyu (TWICE) |
| Years with JYP | 11 years |
| Reported status | Leaving JYP Entertainment |
| Group activities | Expected to continue |
| JYP’s official statement | Contract renewals still under discussion |
| Recent milestone | TWICE wrapped 6th world tour, “THIS IS FOR” |

## What JYP Has Said So Far

JYP Entertainment’s response was brief but telling — a representative stated that TWICE is still in the process of discussing contract renewals, and that an official update would follow once things are finalized. That’s a fairly standard move for agencies navigating [K-pop](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-pop) contract cycles, where individual members’ renewal timelines don’t always align neatly with the group’s collective status.

Tzuyu joining or leaving her agency wouldn’t necessarily mean TWICE is breaking up — plenty of idols have restructured their agency deals while staying fully active with their groups, especially post-world-tour, when contract conversations tend to heat up. TWICE just wrapped their sixth global tour, “THIS IS FOR,” a milestone that often triggers exactly this kind of renewal talk industry-wide.

For now, fans will have to sit tight. Nothing is confirmed beyond JYP’s short statement, and until an official update drops, this remains very much a developing story.
