*Game of Thrones* fans, this one’s for you. Charles Dance, best known for playing the villainous Tywin Lannister in *Game of Thrones*, has officially joined the cast of *The Batman Part II*. [Collider](https://collider.com/robert-pattinson-the-batman-part-2-cast-game-of-thrones-star-charles-dance/) And the role? It’s exactly the kind of brooding, powerful patriarch he was born to play.

## Batman Part II: Big Casting News

According to Deadline, Charles Dance is in negotiations to join *The Batman — Part II*, where he is expected to play Christopher Dent, the father of Harvey Dent — aka Two-Face — who is being portrayed by Sebastian Stan.

Christopher Dent is depicted as abusive and a primary catalyst for Harvey’s eventual transformation into Two-Face — making Dance’s casting feel almost too perfect.

Notably, the role had previously been considered for the likes of Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Stellan Skarsgård, Viggo Mortensen, and Daniel Craig — all of whom reportedly passed.
