After a surprise cancellation reversal earlier this year, Tyler Perry’s *Beauty in Black* is officially gearing up for Season 4 — and cameras are set to roll far sooner than fans might expect. Here’s everything confirmed so far about production and a realistic release window.

## Why Netflix Brought the Show Back

*Beauty in Black* wasn’t originally supposed to return past Season 3, but its viewership numbers made cancellation hard to justify. The series has surpassed 1 billion viewing hours across its first two seasons, with Season 1 spending seven weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and hitting #1 in 28 countries. Season 3, released in August 2026, kept the momentum going, debuting at #2 on the English TV charts with 13 million views in its opening week alone.

## When Will Season 4 Actually Release?

Tyler Perry is known for extremely fast production cycles — Season 3 was reportedly filmed in just six days, making Season 4’s planned 11-day shoot comparatively spacious. However, a quick shoot doesn’t guarantee a quick release: Netflix’s global rollout requires 3 to 4 months for localization, subtitling, and dubbing after filming wraps. Combined with Netflix’s habit of spacing out tentpole releases to avoid oversaturating the show’s own audience, a Spring or Summer 2027 premiere — likely between April and July — looks most realistic.
