TXT Announces Long-Term Break Starting January 2025

Tomorrow X Together (TXT), one of K-pop’s most popular boy bands, will be taking a long-term break after 2024. It was the second time this month that BigHit Music announced a member of the K-pop super group would be pausing group activities after leader Soobin went on hiatus for health reasons in early October. The news, which appeared on the Weverse platform, said that the members plan to use the time to rest and be with their families.

Activities to Wrap Up at the Golden Disc Awards

TXT’s hiatus will begin following their appearance at the 39th Golden Disc Awards on January 5, 2025. BigHit Music also assured the group’s fans, called MOA, that the group would come back rejuvenated and with a more spectacular presence. In an official statement, they thanked everyone who had supported MOA and requested understanding as its members recharge for a stellar 2025.

Soobin’s Previous Break for Health Reasons

News of Soobin’s hiatus in November came not long after a hospital visit and a doctor’s recommendation to take leave to recharge. BigHit Music assured fans that the decision was made in the best interest of his health and well-being.

Back to March 4, 2019, which is when TXT debuted with the EP The Dream Chapter: Star. Its lead single “Crown” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. TXT made history as the first Korean boy band to headline Lollapalooza, further establishing their international success. As TXT goes on this is a well-deserved break, fans can’t wait for the group to return in 2025 to support their next chapter.
