Twitter has been testing many of its features this year and it seems that the social media platform is riding on the way of the digital storm this year. Other social media platforms like Google and Facebook are facing criticism from national agencies amidst rows that they are unwilling to pay enough income for the newspaper outlet.

According to sources, Twitter is now amidst the test of a new timeline layout in which photos are stretched to the edge of the display. This new photo will not have any horizontal margins, and it will mimic the design layout of popular photo and video sharing apps, like Instagram.

The news comes from Jane Manchun Wong on Twitter, where the layout was shared. Wong has always been responsible for sharing with us the juicy details which Twitter has been working on behind the scenes. According to a screenshot shared by Wong, photos will now go edge-to-edge. As we know in the current layout, we can see horizontal margins on either side of photos, so small changes will have major impacts.

This week, Twitter also announced that it would be shutting down “Fleets,” its stories-like function in August. It’s also possible that the company might be working on bringing a feature that is most wanted by the user. the company is looking to increase its foothold in the social media market.

In his recent tweet, Tweeter’s product lead, Kayvon Beykpour, surveyed his followers as to whether they would subscribe to “Twitter Blue.” Twitter Blue is the platform’s monthly subscription service, which offers users the ability to edit tweets for a few minutes after they were posted.

if @TwitterBlue let you edit tweets within a few minutes of posting them, would you want to subscribe? let me know why yes/no in the replies!

For now, we have no confirmation as to whether Twitter will bring the ability to edit tweets into reality. However, it suggests that Twitter is exploring the idea and attempting to garner public opinion.
