K-drama fans, the wait is finally over. After more than a year of anxious silence, Netflix has officially confirmed that *The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call* is renewed for not one, but **two more seasons** — and production is kicking off sooner than you think.

### Why This Renewal Is a Big Deal

*Trauma Code* wasn’t just another [K-drama](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_drama) — it was a phenomenon. The series spent **5 weeks in Netflix’s global TV Top 10**, hit number one for a week, and racked up a massive **39.6 million completed views** in 2025 alone. Based on the webtoon *Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour*, it delivered the perfect mix of high-stakes medicine, raw emotion, and unforgettable characters.

With scripts already underway — 4 episodes written as of now — the creative team is clearly not rushing this. That’s a good sign.

### Who’s Coming Back?

The entire core cast is reprising their roles:

- **Ju Ji Hoon** as the brilliant and brash Baek Gang Hyeok
- **Choo Young Woo** as the empathetic Yang Jae Won
- **Ha Young Cheon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Jung Jae Kwang** rounding out the trauma team

Supporting fan favourites including **Kim Eui Sung, Kim Won Hae, and Kim Sun Young** are also expected to return. The gang’s all here.

### When Can We Actually Watch It?

With filming set to begin in **October 2026**, a realistic release window is **early 2028** at the earliest. It’s a wait — but given how good Season 1 was, it’s absolutely worth it.
