Dias’s appointment is part of TPV Technology’s strategic initiative to meet local market demands and bolster the availability of its cutting-edge monitor solutions. She will be at the forefront of promoting Philips and AOC monitors, including AOC’s high-performance gaming sub-brand, ‘AGON by AOC’.
The role will also see her overseeing channel, retail (organized, micro-retail & e-commerce), and network of gaming systems integrators, along with overall sales and marketing efforts across India.
Kevin Wu, General Manager – APMEA, expressed his excitement over Dias’s appointment, saying, “Carol’s role in accelerating our monitor portfolio growth in the Middle East and Africa was instrumental. We are confident that she will help position AOC and Philips at the heart of India’s digital transformation and gaming monitor industry.”
The gaming monitor industry in India is experiencing significant growth, with projections estimating a rise from US$ 108 million in 2023 to US$ 235.53 by 2033. Factors fueling this growth include the rising popularity of eSports, an increase in gamers, and affordable gaming displays.
TPV Technology aims to capitalize on this trend and boost the growth of AGON by AOC, ranked as the world’s top gaming monitor in the Q3/2023 IDC Quarterly Gaming Tracker report.
“As we step into 2024, we are geared up for greater achievements. The demand for 100Hz high-speed Thunderbolt™ 4 in B2B, coupled with high-refresh gaming monitors for B2C clients, guides our path forward. We anticipate a stunning array of mini-LED and OLED monitors, reflecting our commitment to excellence. We also pledge to reduce our carbon footprint as we innovate,” added Wu.
Carol Anne Dias, commenting on her new role, said, “I am excited to strengthen AOC and Philips’s growth plans in the Indian market.
