The anticipation for **Yash’s** next project after the monumental success of *KGF* is at an all-time high. However, the *Rocky Bhai* star has just dropped a major hint that his upcoming film, **Toxic**, will defy all expectations. ## Breaking the “Action Hero” Mold

Since the release of *KGF: Chapter 2*, fans have been speculating that Yash would choose another high-octane, mass-action entertainer. However, the collaboration with **Geetu Mohandas**—a filmmaker known for her intense, realistic, and award-winning cinema like *Moothon*—signaled a different path.

Yash recently addressed the genre of the film, stating that while it has action elements, it is **not a conventional gangster story**. He emphasized that the script possesses **“layers”** and delves into **“deep psychology.”** This suggests that *Toxic* will be a character-driven narrative exploring the complexities of the human mind, rather than just a spectacle of violence.

## The Geetu Mohandas Factor

The involvement of Geetu Mohandas is the biggest indicator of the film’s unique tone. Known for her nuanced storytelling and strong visual language, she is not a director who adheres to commercial formulas. Her vision for *Toxic* aligns with Yash’s desire to push boundaries.

This combination of Yash’s massive star power and Geetu’s artistic sensibility promises a film that could redefine the action genre in [Indian cinema](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinema_of_India). It’s a bold move that prioritizes substance over style, offering audiences a “toxic” mix of thrill and intellect.

## What to Expect from ‘Toxic’

While plot details remain under wraps, the description of “deep psychology” hints at a protagonist who is morally grey or psychologically complex. Yash’s character might not be the invincible hero audiences are used to, but a flawed individual navigating a dark world.

The film is currently in production, and the team is maintaining strict secrecy regarding the plot. However, the promise of a layered story has only increased the curiosity surrounding the project.
