Yash’s return to the big screen after four years is drawing real numbers — just not quite the tsunami early trends suggested. “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” has crossed 104,000 tickets in advance sales across India’s top national chains, though the pace has noticeably slowed since its blazing start.

## Toxic : The Numbers So Far

As of Sunday night, August 23, the film had sold over 104,000 tickets combined at PVR Inox and Cinepolis for opening day — a pattern that shows fast early momentum settling into a more moderate finish.

| Chain | Tickets Sold |
| --- | --- |
| PVR Inox | ~89,000 |
| Cinepolis | ~15,000 |
| **Total (PIC)** | **104,000+** |

## Why The Projections Shifted

Friday’s advance pace initially pointed toward a massive 400,000-500,000 tickets at PVR Inox and Cinepolis combined. That trajectory has since cooled, with trade estimates now projecting a finish closer to 250,000 tickets — with a strong final push potentially pushing it toward 300,000.

## What’s Riding On This Release

| Detail | Info |
| --- | --- |
| Lead cast | Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi |
| Genre | Gangster action drama |
| Production | KVN Productions, Monster Mind Creations |
| Significance | Yash’s first film in 4 years |
| Target | Biggest Hindi opening for a standalone Pan-India film |

## Why This Matters

Advance bookings this strong still put “Toxic” in serious contention for a major opening, even if the ceiling has come down from initial projections.
