Tottenham Hotspur are currently in talks regarding the future of Nuno Espirito Santo. The former Wolves boss replaced Jose Mourinho this summer as the manager of the first team. Chairman Daniel Levy and Sporting director Fabio Pararici are in talks regarding the situation.

In their most recent game in the Premier League, Spurs lost 3-0 to Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjær was also under tremendous pressure to deliver given the previous result at Old Trafford. His team managed to come out with the win, and did so very comfortably.

The Tottenham Hotspur fans chanted ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’ at Nuno when he took off Lucas Moura for Steven Bergwijn. Overall, it was a quite poor performance from Spurs, with a lack of quality attacking output. Son managed to come up with several chances, but it wasn’t enough to beat De Gea.

Spurs are currently eighth in the table, with 15 points from 10 games. They have scored the least number of goals of any top half team. Moreover, their defensive record is also the worst of any top team in the top ten.

Harry Kane has been unable to replicate his form from the previous season. And that has resulted in an extended goal drought for the London club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese could be sacked following discussions. However, the situation is unclear and his future will be confirmed within the next few hours.
