Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 3-0 in the North London derby, in front of a sold out crowd. With their win over their rivals, the point gap between the two has been reduced to one, leaving them both in a tense battle for the last Champions League spot.

The visitors were down to ten men shortly after the half hour mark. Rob Holding had a tense confrontation on the ground with Heung-min Son, which earned him his first yellow. The defender then proceeded to elbow him in the face, despite no real threat from a lobbed ball, and was sent off for a second yellow.

Following a handball by Cedric, Harry Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot. The Tottenham number 10 would strike again from a corner, heading the ball in from a yard out to make it 2-0. He is the top scorer in the fixture, with 13 goals to his name in the North London derby.

Only two minutes into the second half, Heung-min Son got himself onto the scoresheet. Kane played the ball into his strike partner after a tackle in the penalty area, and the Korean calmly struck the ball past Aaron Ramsdale to pile on more misery for Arsenal.

The Gunners will face Newcastle United and Everton in their last two games, while Spurs face Burnley and Norwich City to end the season. With only a point separating the two, the race for a fourth place finish will be very interesting to watch.
