The Italian will be the third of his country to make the move to Toronto FC this summer. Lorenzo Insigne signed first from Napoli, upon the expiry of his contract. He has been presented as a new player for the MLS club as well.

Domenico Criscito has also agreed terms over a move to North America this summer. And Federico Bernardeschi will soon become the third Italian to join Toronto FC. The winger has found it hard for playing time to come by during his time at Juventus.

He made an ambitious transfer from Fiorentina in 2017, but hasn’t been able to replicate his form for La Viola in Turin. However, he will now be looking to take on a new challenge in a new continent once he is registered as a new player.
