The Serie A is among the best leagues in Europe, and has seen some top attacking talent over the years. In this article, we are discussing the players with the most hat-tricks in the competition.

5. Antonio Di Natale (5) 

Di Natale is a club icon for Udinese, having spent most of his career with them. He is the record appearance maker, and highest goalscorer of all time for the club. Di Natale was the top scorer in the league in 2010 and 2011, and scored five hat-tricks in the league. 

4. Dries Mertens (6) 

The Belgian is Napoli’s highest ever goalscorer, with 144 goals to his name so far. He has been with the Azzurri since 2013, and in 2016, was the first player in 42 years to net consecutive hat-tricks in Serie A. 

3. Ciro Immobile (6) 

Immobile has played for several clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany. But his best form has come for Lazio, whom he joined in 2016. The forward has won the European Golden Boot, and has also finished as the top scorer in the league on multiple occasions. He is tied with Mertens at 6 Serie A hat-tricks. 

2. Mauro Icardi (6) 

The Argentinean is Inter Milan’s 8th highest goalscorer of all-time. He has scored six hat-tricks in Serie A, five for Inter Milan and one for Sampdoria. The striker currently plays for PSG in France. 

1. Edinson Cavani (7) 

Cavani is one of the most underrated strikers to play at the top level. The Uruguayan has the most hat-tricks in Serie A, with seven to his name. All his trebles came with Napoli, before he left to join PSG where he played his best football.
