Football is one of the most dynamic sports on the planet, which acts as a double-edged sword. One day you can be the messiah of the team, and the very next you can be discarded by the fans. While players often experience low spells in form, it is never too late to make a turnaround.

Hence, owing to that very attitude, here are the top 5 players who managed to revive their careers for good measure in 2020.

5. Danny Ings

His days as a Liverpool flop are long gone, and Danny Ings currently finds himself as the best player in the Southampton squad. The Englishman almost won the Golden Boot in the 19/20 season and has managed to bring his goalscoring form to the 20/21 season as well.

4. Jerome Boateng

The German was written off on the back of a difficult last few seasons with Bayern Munich. However, 2020 saw the centre-back being almost reborn and he was essential in the 19/20 season that saw the Bavarians win every trophy available to them.

Most football fans wrote the Swedish striker off when he went to the MLS. However, making a return to AC Milan in January of this year, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has continuously managed to prove that age is just a number, leading the Rossoneri into the top spot in the Serie A table at the age of 39.

2. Alvaro Morata

The Spanish international had a difficult tenure at Chelsea which attracted a lot of criticism from football fanatics all across the globe. However, with the start of the new season, Morata has donned a Juventus shirt once more and is a completely transformed player under Andrea Pirlo.

1. Lucas Vasquez

The Real Madrid wide-man was almost written off completely when the previous season came to a conclusion. But with the 20/21 campaign, injuries plagued the Madrid squad which is when Vasquez stepped up and proved his worth not only in a wide attacking role but in the right-back position as well.
